DIY Shoebox Worm Bin
Creating your own worm bin couldn't be easier! With just a few simple steps, you can start composting at home and reduce kitchen waste. All you need is a container, some bedding materials, and a handful worms. Once set up, your worm bin will efficiently transform scraps nutrient-rich compost for your garden. It's a fun and eco-friendly project that benefits both you and the environment!
Step 1
To start your worm composting journey, gather your materials: worms, bedding, food, sharp tool for poking holes, and a suitable bin. You can use anything from a coffee can to a bucket even a takeout container. For this example, I’m using a Sterilite Plastic 6 Qt. Storage Box. Make sure everything is ready for composting adventure!
